Dental Implants

Dental Implants

The gold standard for replacing missing teeth. Implants look, feel and function exactly like your natural teeth — and last for decades.

Dental Implants

A permanent solution that feels completely natural

A dental implant is a small titanium post that fuses with your jawbone, essentially becoming a new tooth root. On top of it, we place a custom crown, bridge or denture that matches your other teeth perfectly.

Unlike dentures, implants stay put. Unlike bridges, they don't require us to grind down healthy neighbouring teeth. And unlike doing nothing about a missing tooth, they prevent the jawbone shrinkage that ages your face.

Why patients choose this treatment

The benefits, plainly explained

01

Looks completely natural

Custom-shaded crowns blend with your surrounding teeth. Most people will never know which tooth is the implant.

02

Eat anything

Steak, apples, corn on the cob — implants restore close to 100% of your natural biting force, unlike dentures which restore around 25%.

03

Built to last

Properly placed and maintained dental implants commonly last 25 years or more — many last a lifetime.

04

Preserves your jawbone

Implants stimulate the bone the way natural teeth do, preventing the bone loss and 'sunken' face that follows tooth loss.

05

Doesn't damage other teeth

Unlike a traditional bridge, an implant doesn't require us to file down healthy teeth on either side of the gap.

06

Same hygiene routine

Brush and floss like normal teeth. No special creams, soaks or removable parts.

What to expect

Your treatment, step by step

1

Consultation & 3D scan

We take a low-dose 3D CBCT scan to assess bone volume and plan the exact implant position. You'll see your case visualized on screen.

2

Implant placement

Under local anaesthetic (with sedation if you'd like), the titanium post is gently placed into the bone. Most patients are surprised how easy this step feels.

3

Healing & integration

Over 3–6 months, the bone fuses with the implant. You'll have a temporary in place during this time — life looks completely normal.

4

Final crown

Once integrated, we attach the custom crown. The whole thing now functions like a natural tooth and is yours to keep for decades.

Common questions

Is implant placement painful?+

Most patients describe it as significantly easier than they expected — easier than a complex extraction. We use modern anaesthetic and offer sedation options for extra comfort.

How much does an implant cost?+

A single implant + crown in Edmonton typically ranges $3,500–$5,500. Multi-tooth and full-arch options are quoted case by case after a 3D scan.

What if I've been missing a tooth for years?+

It's still very treatable. If bone has shrunk, we can often graft the area to rebuild what's needed. We'll tell you exactly what's involved at your consultation.
