First visit at age 1 — really
The Canadian Dental Association recommends a first dental visit by age 1. It's not really about cleaning teeth that age — it's about checking development, spotting risks early and getting your child comfortable in our chair from the start.
Our team is trained for kids. We use kid-friendly language, take it at their pace and never force anything. Most kids enjoy the visit by their second or third time.

Common questions
Isn't age 1 too early?+
Not for a check. We look at development, identify decay risks and start building a positive association. Most one-year-olds have a fast, easy first visit.
What if my child is scared?+
We don't force or rush. Sometimes a 'happy visit' — just looking around, no exam — is enough for the first appointment.
How often should they come?+
Every 6 months for most kids. More often if they're high-risk for decay. Less often is rarely a good idea.
