Oral Cancer Screening

A quick, painless visual and tactile screening included at every checkup — because early detection saves lives.

General Dentistry

Two minutes that can change everything

Oral cancer is highly treatable when caught early — and almost always missed when caught late. A proper screening looks at your lips, tongue, throat, cheeks, gums, the floor and roof of your mouth, and the lymph nodes in your neck.

We include this in every routine exam, no extra charge. It takes about two minutes. It's the most important two minutes we spend with you.

Neck and jaw nodes palpated for swelling, tenderness or asymmetry.

04

Early detection saves lives

5-year survival is 84% when found early, 39% when found late. Early matters.

Established relationships with oral surgeons and pathologists for urgent biopsies.

06

Risk-factor counselling

Tobacco, alcohol, HPV — a straightforward conversation, no judgment.

Common questions

Who's at risk for oral cancer?+

Smokers, heavy drinkers and people with HPV exposure are highest risk — but about 25% of cases happen in people with no known risk factors. That's why we screen everyone.

What if you find something?+

Most unusual spots resolve in 2 weeks. If it doesn't, we refer for a biopsy. We have established relationships with local oral surgeons for fast turnaround.

Does it cost extra?+

No. It's included in every comprehensive exam. We don't believe in upcharging for something this important.
