Gum Care

Periodontal Care

Specialized treatment for gum disease — from early gingivitis to advanced periodontitis — to save your teeth and protect your overall health.

Gum Care

Healthy gums are the foundation of every healthy mouth

Gum disease is the #1 cause of adult tooth loss — and it's been linked to heart disease, diabetes complications and pregnancy complications. It also tends to be silent until it's advanced.

We measure your gums at every visit so we catch problems early. When we find disease, we treat it — and we work with you on the home-care habits that keep it from coming back.

Why patients choose this treatment

The benefits, plainly explained

01

Pocket-depth tracking

Every tooth measured at every visit so we spot changes early.

02

Conservative treatment first

Deep cleaning and improved home care resolve most cases without surgery.

03

Localized antibiotics

Time-release antibiotic placed directly in deep pockets when needed.

04

Maintenance recall

3–4 month recall instead of 6 to keep the bacterial load down.

05

Specialist referral if warranted

Established partnerships with periodontists for advanced surgical cases.

06

Linked to overall health

Managing gum disease reduces inflammation throughout your body — and your cardiovascular risk.

What to expect

Your treatment, step by step

1

Periodontal exam

Pocket depths, bleeding points, recession, mobility and x-rays of bone level.

2

Diagnosis and plan

We explain the staging, show you what's going on and lay out treatment options.

3

Scaling and root planing

Deep cleaning below the gumline — usually one quadrant per visit, with numbing.

4

Reassess and maintain

Six weeks later we re-measure; if it's better, we move to maintenance recalls.

Common questions

How do I know if I have gum disease?+

Bleeding gums, persistent bad breath, gum recession or teeth that feel loose are all signs. But many people have no symptoms — which is why we screen everyone at every visit.

Can gum disease be reversed?+

Gingivitis (early stage) — yes, completely. Periodontitis (advanced) — we can stop progression, but lost bone doesn't come back. Early treatment matters.

How often will I need maintenance cleanings?+

Most periodontal patients move from a 6-month to a 3–4 month recall schedule. It keeps the bacterial load down and prevents recurrence.
