When a tooth has to come out
Sometimes a tooth is too damaged to save, a wisdom tooth is causing problems, or extra teeth need to come out for orthodontics. We do straightforward extractions in-office and refer the more complex cases to oral surgeons we trust.
Sedation is available for nervous patients. Same-day implants or bone preservation grafts can be done at the time of extraction if you're planning future restoration.

The benefits, plainly explained
Your treatment, step by step
Numb
Local anaesthetic. For nervous patients, sedation is added.
Loosen and remove
The tooth is loosened with an elevator, then removed with forceps.
Bone graft if planned
Socket filled with graft material and sutured closed.
Post-op care
Written instructions, pain medication and a follow-up call in 24 hours.
Common questions
How long is recovery?+
Most simple extractions: 3–5 days of mild discomfort. Wisdom teeth and surgical cases: 7–10 days. We send you home with everything you need.
Do I need sedation?+
Not for most extractions. Nervous patients, complex cases or multiple teeth at once are good reasons to add nitrous oxide or oral sedation.
What's a dry socket?+
It's when the blood clot in the socket dislodges, exposing bone. Painful but treatable. We give you specific aftercare instructions to prevent it.
