The gold standard for complex cases
Braces aren't going anywhere. They're still the most predictable, controlled way to correct complex bite issues, severe crowding and serious rotations — things aligners can struggle with.
Modern brackets are smaller, the wires are more forgiving and ceramic options are nearly invisible. For most patients, treatment is 18–24 months.

The benefits, plainly explained
Your treatment, step by step
Records
X-rays, photos and a 3D scan to plan treatment.
Bond
Brackets bonded to the front of each tooth, then connected with a wire.
Adjustments
Monthly visits to change wires and progress treatment.
Removal and retainers
Brackets come off in 18–24 months; retainers hold the result.
Common questions
Will they hurt?+
Tender for 3–4 days after each adjustment. Tylenol or Advil handles it. Soft foods help.
What can't I eat?+
Sticky, hard or chewy things — caramel, ice, popcorn, hard nuts, gum. Everything else is fine.
Braces vs. Invisalign?+
Braces are better for complex bite issues, severe rotations and patients who won't comply with aligners. Invisalign for cosmetic-focused or mild-to-moderate cases.
