We design first visits to be the least stressful part of your week
Plan to be with us for about an hour. There's no rush — we'd rather take the extra ten minutes to make sure your questions are answered than push you out the door on a schedule.
What to bring
Keep it simple — these five items make your first visit run smoothly. If you're missing something, don't worry: we can usually work around it.
- A list of any medications you're currently taking
- Your dental insurance information (card or member number)
- Government-issued photo ID for new patients
- Any previous x-rays or records, if available
- A list of questions or concerns — no question is too small
Insurance & payment
Direct billing
We bill most insurance plans directly. You only pay your portion at checkout — no paperwork, no chasing reimbursements.
Payment plans
For larger treatment plans, we offer in-house and third-party financing so you can spread payments out over time.
Government programs
We accept the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP), NIHB, Alberta Child Health Benefit and AISH. Bring your card and we'll handle the rest.
How your visit will actually flow
Warm welcome
We greet you by name (we'll have learned it ahead of time), offer water or coffee, and walk you through any final paperwork on a tablet — no clipboards.
Get to know you
Before any tools come out, we sit and talk. What's brought you in today? Any past dental experiences — good or bad — we should know about?
Comprehensive exam
Digital x-rays (only if you're due), oral cancer screening, gum-health assessment, bite analysis, and a tooth-by-tooth check. We narrate as we go so you know what's happening.
Cleaning
If your gums are healthy, your hygienist provides a gentle scaling, polish, and home-care chat. If we find anything that needs more, we'll discuss it before proceeding.
Plan & next steps
We sit back down and review findings, photos and x-rays together. If treatment is recommended, we explain options, costs and what insurance will cover before booking anything.
